Tonight, I meditated on a very pivotal passage in the Word of God, Revelation 19:11-16:

“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.”
(New King James Version)

I know that there are lot of skeptics in the world, people who say that our Blessed LORD is not coming back, as He has been gone for over 2000 years. However, a casual reading of the Scriptures will reveal to you that our LORD is a God who keeps His promises. He cannot lie, and whatever promises He gives us in His Word, He will keep. This passage, in particular, promises that Christ will come again at the end of the age. He is not slack in His return, as some would count slackness. In a previous post, I taught that our Blessed LORD is waiting for people to come to faith in Him, and I said that waiting for that to happen is vitally important. I am willing to bet that you have loved ones who don’t yet know the LORD. My prayer for all of my unsaved Friends and Family is that our LORD would regenerate their hearts and grant them salvation. That should be the prayer of every Christian.

That our LORD is returning is a fact that is testified to us in our hearts and minds through the abiding presence of our Precious Holy Spirit. If you are reading this, and you are not a believer in God, please know that you did not find this blog by accident. God is drawing you to Him. As you read the Bible passages in my previous blogs, our Blessed LORD will reveal Himself to you. Notice that I did not say that my personal writings will reveal our LORD to you. I am a mere man, and I cannot write enough words to convince you to believe in God. But that is not my job. No, what our LORD has instructed us, as Christians, to do is to share His Gospel with people who are not yet in His Family. God loves you, no matter what you have done. The Gospel is the means of salvation, which I have also said in a previous blog. All Christians can do is share the Gospel with the world, and let God do the saving of people. I could write on this blog for the next century and not convince you of anything. My only hope is that these words will point you to the Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ.

Accordingly, I highly recommend that you read the Word of God for yourself, for in its pages are the Words of Life. I have said before that non-believers should start with the Gospel of John, followed by the Book of Romans. The Gospel of John is a beautifully written and poetic account of why our LORD Jesus came into the world, and the Book of Romans is a very well-written and systematic explanation of true Christianity. Even if you don’t start with these two letters, start somewhere, for all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching us how to follow the LORD. If you are inclined to read the Word of God, sincerely ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. I can guarantee you that He will help you because the Scriptures plainly teach that He will help us understand His Word. When Jesus left this Earth, He promised His followers that He would send us a Helper, the Holy Spirit of God, to guide us in this life and to guide us through His Word. Our Precious Holy Spirit came to Earth on the Day of Pentecost, and He has never left us.

The passage from Revelation above should terrify you if you are not follower of Christ. The Word of God teaches that when Christ rules this Earth, He will not ask permission from humanity to do so. Right now, we have many sides in politics, Republican, Democrat, Independent, you name it, but when Jesus comes back, He is not coming to take sides; no, the Bible clearly teaches that He is coming to take over. He will judge perfectly, and He will make just war with His enemies, and He will rule the nations with a rod of iron. When He comes back, He will not come as the humble Suffering Messiah who came the first time to redeem us from our sins. He will come as the Reigning Messiah promised to us in the whole counsel of God, His Blessed Word; He will be the Conquering King. When the event of the Second Coming of Christ happens, the whole world will see and believe in God. Christians will rejoice greatly, knowing that we are entering into His rest, and that we will rule with Him forever. Non-believers will try unsuccessfully to hide from the face of God. It will be too late for them to turn from their sins, and there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, as people realize that God is real, and they did not seek after Him.

Choose this day, whom you will serve, the God of the Universe, or the enemy of our souls. This is the choice you have. I can promise you that our LORD wants you on His side, for the Scriptures proclaim that He is not willing that anyone should perish.
