KING of kings, LORD of lords

Today, our Precious Holy Spirit drew me to Revelation 7:9-17:

“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’ All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying:

‘Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,

Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,

Be to our God forever and ever.

Amen.’

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, ‘Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?’

And I said to him, ‘Sir, you know.’

So he said to me, ‘These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” (New King James Version)

What stands out to me the most in this passage is that we will worship our LORD the way He was meant to be worshipped. Jesus said that we need to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. I believe that this statement won’t be completely fulfilled until we are in the presence of our LORD. As you know, it is difficult to worship our LORD consistently with all the distractions of this life. During the Millennium, we will be physically present with Christ our LORD, and the Holy Spirit will empower us not only to worship God, but to live absolutely righteous lives. We won’t have to worry about sin because there will no sin in the Kingdom of God. Christ will change everything, and He will restore everything when He comes.

Christ will also restore relationships, and they will be perfected under His rule. No longer will men hurt women, and no longer will women will hurt men. We also know that we will no longer get married after the Resurrection, which was taught by our LORD Jesus. I once heard a pastor say that in Eternity Future, there will be the people who come out of the Great Tribulation, and they will continue to have children, but the rest of us won’t be able to have them. What, are the rest of us all going to be eunuchs? Why would God create two different groups of people? No, a plain reading of the Scriptures does not indicate that there will be different types of people who have different physical capabilities. It seems that the most likely scenario that is consistent with God’s character is that everyone will be the same, and our glorified bodies will function in the same way as our bodies do today, only having been perfected. That means everyone who wants to will be able to have children. And since sin will be no more, relationships and parenthood will be perfected. There will no evil or evil intentions among God’s people in the Millennium or in Eternity Future.

We need to read and understand the Scriptures plainly for what they teach. If you’re in a passage like the one above, don’t add anything or take away anything from it, even if what the passage says causes you to feel uncomfortable. The Word of God does not teach that parts of it can be ignored or enhanced in any way because we don’t want to believe what the passage says. If something that you’ve believed in for a long time is not actually in the Bible, then you need to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all Truth, and He will. I asked God to reveal Himself to me, and He did. Because of what Christ did for us, we are all children of God, and we can now commune directly with God the Father, like Adam and Eve did before their fall. This relationship with God can be yours, guided by our LORD Jesus and our Precious Holy Spirit. Amen and Amen.
