Is The Gospel Offensive?

Does the thought that God exists, and that He is coming to judge all mankind offend you? Does the Gospel offend you? If it does, why? Are you the type of person who preaches good but is far away from God? How can you be good if you do not have His Spirit in you?
I assert that if you do not follow Jesus, that if He is not the Supreme Being in your life, then you will go to Hell at the end of time. There are many nominal Christians in the world, people who think they are Christian, people who believe in God and check off all the boxes of what the world says is a Christian.
Did you know that believing and knowing the right things about God are not enough to be saved? For even the demons believe in God, and I would say they know the Scriptures better than most Christians. Why do you think false teachers are so effective in the pulpit? These demonic men and women who teach falsehood give the nominal Christian exactly what their itching ears want to hear.
If you’re a Christian, then you know who the false teachers of the world are. And if you’re not a Christian, then you also know who the false teachers of the world are, but you listen to them, you buy their books, you watch their videos, and you trust in their words.
Did you see what I just did? Christians know the voice of their Savior, non-believers don’t. That is a Biblical statement, and if you don’t like it, you don’t have a problem with me; you have a problem with Almighty God.
In my blog on John 3:1-22, I explained that no one can be born again, unless God Himself brings about that second birth. Our LORD partners with us to evangelize the world, spreading the seed of the Gospel everywhere we go. Sometimes, the seed of the Gospel lands on the fertile ground of the heart of someone who needs salvation and whom God has chosen to save.
If salvation is not of God, and only of God, then it is not salvation. Salvation is God-breathed and God-ordained, as the Scriptures plainly teach. As I stated before, God chooses sovereignly whom He will save. No one who doesn’t belong in Heaven will be there. Our LORD is sovereign in the affairs of men.
The tares of this world, those who are committed to following the enemy, cannot be saved. They will follow their father of lies into the bottomless pit, the Hell that God has created just for them. God’s enemies have existed throughout time. The tares who are here now, including the antichrist, will gather against our All-Powerful God and His Anointed, but they will be utterly defeated.
For the follower of God, these are exciting times. Christ will return soon to finally take His place on His Exalted Throne in Zion, the Holy City of God. And that is the best news of all for all of who love the LORD. Amen and Amen.
