June 14, 2026: The LORD’s Day
By Manny Vazquez, M.S., LMFT
“Your Name stands above them all..
You are Lifted High…
If you’ve been forgiven, if you’ve been redeemed…”
This is a beautiful Worship Song sung by His Saints to the LORD today at my church. Today is
the LORD’s Day, Sunday, June 14, 2026. It is also Flag Day, which is celebrated across the
Nation today.
This is kind of a journal entry for today…
I came to church today, kind of in secret. My Wife Laura is in the English service with her Mom. I
am in the back of the church, listening quietly to the most wonderful worhip music.
In a few minutes, when the worship is over, I’ll get up and wander the church campus as the
unofficial greeter of God’s people.
Then, I’m going to sit in our Cafe with a drink and finish this blog/journal entry.
It is now 8:52am. I received a blessing from a gentleman with a long beard, who was standing
by the exit of the church. He gave me a gold cross for my lapel as I left the main sanctuary. It’s
beautiful! I don’t know why he gave it to me. I had complimented his long beard because I have
a very short, very carefully trimmed, beard. He said something about our beards, and he
handed me the cross in a little plastic bag. I will wear it whenever I am at church and really
anywhere I go. I am blessed beyond measure to be able to attend church here.
At 9:45am, I will go to the Spanish-speaking prayer Group. This will be my third time attending
this Group. We pray for Everyone in our Church, including the Pastors and the needs of all the
Congregants.
I told my Pastor, the Spanish Pastor at our Church, that I always knew that I would be in a
prayer Group. I did not know it would be with a Spanish Group. I’m so shortsighted. I’m blessed
to be able to hang out with some of the top prayer warriors in the Kingdom, and that is not
grandiose, for those of you who are wondering.
I’m currently in the Cafe (better and cheaper than most for profit coffee places, by the way). I’m
going to close this journal entry by praying a blessing over you and your church and my church.
Heavenly Father,
I come before You, and I humbly ask that You would bless our churches across the world.
LORD, please make all of us in Your Church more and more like your Son Jesus. I pray that all
of you who are reading this will come to know this Jesus that I know, and to know the Truth that
He proclaimed, for it will set you free!
I pray this in the Name above all names, the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ,
Amen and Amen
Blessings, my Brothers and Sisters. May our God watch over you and your loved ones on this
LORD’s Day and on this Flag Day. Amen.
